Dr. Sara Perkins, DVM

A talented veterinarian who graduated from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Moving from Washington to Kentucky, and earned an internship at the prestigious Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. Wanting to continue her equine educational journey she moved to California, to attend University of California, Davis. In 2003, she founded Equine Medical Services, which is a testament to her dedication and hard work!

Dr. Perkins is proud to endorse Equina products. Sara is a true horse lover, and her passion for them started when she was young and rode show jumpers and the cutting horses that were bred and competed on by her father. Her love for horses led her to become a veterinarian after losing her first horse, Vandy. Nowadays, Sara has her full time equine veterinarian practice keeping her busy. In her spare time, she enjoys riding dressage, fox hunting, trail riding, and polo. Sara has also begun to develop her own breeding program dedicated to Lusitano's.
